A few decades ago, I bought a number of Tumi bags that I seem to think came with lifetime warranty. I used it once: a bag bought from eBay in Canada was brought into a shop in NYC who (due to time constraints) arranged for the bag to be repaired when I was back in Bangkok. No proof of purchase or anything else was requested, no repair fees charged. I was impressed.

Not talking about $100 suitcases, but if I am paying $1,000 for a bag then I think a lifetime warranty shows confidence in your product and care for your customers. I've told the story above countless times. But sadly, Tumi stopped offering lifetime warranty on their products for quite a while now. So they're no longer an option for me, sadly. At least not when wheels, structural frames and telescoping handles are involved.

Briggs & Riley was recommended by a friend after a great repair experience, so they are certainly a big contender going forward. As I am reviewing my luggage collection for the coming years, I am wondering which other companies have such unlimited lifetime warranty policies. I've been told by shops here in Bangkok that some Samsonite bags come with a limited lifetime warranty, but dont know if thats just for the ones sold here (at >2x the price charged in Europe) or if thats a global thing. Plus ... limited policies always seem to get abused.

Any recommendations from my fellow luggage nerds out there?
