On the other hand:

• it's only one change, and once you're on the train, there's not a lot that can go wrong most of the time.
• The shuttle buses use the back roads and don't get stuck in traffic too much. As has been said before, taxi/rideshare after the match is a bit of a nightmare.
• For the train it's usually around 30 mins queuing to get on the platform, plus 30 mins to Liverpool Street/Stratford, plus Elizabeth line - where frequency is 2 trains per hour to T4 and 2 trains per hour to T5. The tube off-peak frequency is 6 trains per hour to T4, and 6 trains per hour to T5.
• It's £5.50 on-way. You may consider taking the Elizabeth Line instead of the HEX on your way in in the morning - it's nearly as fast as the HEX, it's new and still relatively shiny, it will get you further than Paddington Station (Bond Street for West End, Farringdon for Smithfield etc), and while single tickets to LHR incur a surcharge on the Elizabeth line, Heathrow is nevertheless included within travelcards and daily/weekly fare capping as a Zone 6 station. So as long as you by a one day travelcard, or touch in and out with the same contactless card all day, the fare will be capped (at £14.10 for contactless), regardless of where or how often you touch in & out on any tube, train, or bus in Zone 1-6 during the day.

To get to the match, I'd decide based on where you are just before you set off. If you're in the West End, it's Piccadilly Line to Wood Green + shuttle (advantage: you see where you'll have to go to after the match for pick-up). If you're in the City / London Bridge area, just go to Liverpool Street station and take the first train to either White Hart Lane or Northumberland Park.
