Forgive me if this has been posted elsewhere but the BA lounge at ORD is currently closed: just been handed a $30 voucher to use this evening and was told to go the bar ‘Hub 51’ where they are in meltdown with no food and general chaos at the bar! Swissport lounge closed to Priority Pass. I would have stayed for longer in the AA Flagship lounge at T3 had I known!
Did the staff say anything about whether this is a temporary thing (like a maintenance issue or something), or more of a longer-term situation due to the ongoing ORD renovations and expansions (as in they are going to permanently close or replace the lounge)?
Usually, Hub 51 is pretty decent (overpriced and a bit slow, but nothing terrible by airport standards). I guess they must have been overwhelmed due to the additional influx of guests.
