Or will I need to make a completely new booking for this person - using my second space release (which I think I still have, and my year will end on Feb 8 ) to free up an avios one way booking for her? Is this second option even possible, because there is already a space released being used on the flight = mine! ? Thanks for any advice. I will call up the GGL Line in the morning.
My understanding is, jokers are manually recorded on a separate (Excel?) spreadsheet (yes, so high tech!

) so you might be able to release another seat using the original one if the quota hasn't been all used up YMMV. But I do believe you need the other person to be at least on your F&F list though (if not on HHA).
