I have been a Hertz Gold Five Star member for years and have never had an issue with them. On two recent reservations, a rate was confirmed several months ago. I have the email with the confirmed rate (pay at time of rent). When I check my upcoming reservation, it has a higher rate. One rate was $300 higher and another was doubled at $800 higher. I have contacted customer service several times and get different answers each time. They are telling me the rate is not guaranteed and can change based on availability. So basically, they will bump up my rate made several months back because of the current high demand. It even says the rate is guaranteed when booking, but it does not indicate the same on my confirmation email. When I look online, it does say that the higher rate is guaranteed. Are others having this same issue? Any idea how to address with Hertz? So far all channels with Hertz are useless.
