Food is better on AF and you are served real champagne along with the AF house cognac, calvados and armagnac.

I've had some super J flights on AF over the years, particularly when one could get cheap mileage redemption tickets (such as 100,000 Delta miles for RTs in J).

The security situation in CDG T2E can be a nightmare when you are changing planes there, even in the "Acces 1" line (or whatever it is called now).

The lounge situation is pretty good at CDG, with self serve beverages.
