1:10 is very tight with coming from non-Schengen AND having to go through repeat gate security for a USA departure (don't get me started on that)...even in J there is a decent chance you will be stressed or miss the flight. i plugged in some random dates and indeed, the options are not good with either very short (under 1:30) or very long connections (over 5:00) in CDG. considering that, I would probably chance it, and be mentally/physically prepared to spend a night somewhere along the way getting home if you miss the connection.
