I was thinking the same thing. I've gone through an airport and 2 flights in socks before as my shoe sole caught on something and just tore off.

My destination airport had a Johnston and Murphy store thankfully and I was able to get an emergency pair (and nice ones too).

Walking through the airport, I felt like Kevin at Jim and Pam's wedding.
