Had an AS (Skywest) FA admonish someone to use headseats a few days ago. Yay. As for general volumes rising up, it probably correlates to hearing issues with those that always have devices in or over their ears all the time.
If you want noise, go to MEX T2 - an echo chamber, just about everywhere including some of the lounges.
