I spent years in biz travel and the pandemic stopped all of that, and I've still not returned to the frequent flyer life. I really only travel with the wife and/or the family these days.

I have about 600,000 BA Avios to spend this summer (aiming for a July/August trip), but after banging my head against the BA avios booking options, I'm left to wonder...

Any of you experts want to weigh in on what might be the best value for spending these avios for a trip this summer for my family of four? Wife and I are celebrating our 30th anniversary and want to include our "kids" (21 and 17).

Caveat: I'm US based and I'd like to avoid the long haul surcharges/fees/taxes, realizing all the while that I'll be somewhat limited by that...eyes on Carribean maybe.

Any of you out there just happen to have booked something similar? Anyone just willing to help a brother out by throwing out the best ideas for my family to value-spend this stack of miles/points? Basically, this stack of avios is part of the last (the rest being some Marriott points) of my biz travel days and I'd like to put together a memorable trip. Or maybe just a hot tip on the best way to cipher the BA booking engine so as to more easily find these opps...
