and if you follow the discussion in the AS Visa thread, a post-purchase change seems to be coming in March. It used to be sufficient to own the AS Visa to get the first bag free, and starting in March you have to have bought the ticket with the AS Visa to get the free bag. No word about grandfathered tickets purchased before the change. Not sure that the DOT would like that, and having an email that clearly spelled out what the bag fee was at the time of purchase might help at the counter.
