As far as I'm concerned, connecting in CDG used to be a breeze before the pandemic, but deteriorated quite a bit afterwards (e.g. I loved the 2G<>2E connections, with the airside shuttle & passport control in 2G without queuing, however, that one is now history).
Anyway, in your particular case, you will connecting within the 2E complex, which should be straight forward. And the lounges there are definitely a big plus over AMS...
