Next time you have to do this, I'd show up at the latest 90 minutes before departure (2 hours with luggage). It sucks to have to sit around in T5 with nowhere to go.

It wasn't terribly bad. Although the seats (at the gate area) weren't the most comfortable and everyone around me was hacking and sneezing/coughing (wore my N95 mask though). Coffee places were open so I had my donuts I brought through TSA (haha) and something to drink. while I watched movies on my iPad.
