BA do normally refuel in the turnaround but some they do use a method called 'fuel tankering' to some destinations (can't remember which but I can find out if you want me to) where they load up with fuel for both legs in London because the fuel cost at the destination is so high.
It can be quite a complex calculation as to whether to "tanker" or not. As taking fuel with you costs money, as the aircraft is heavier and slower, which means more wear on the engines etc etc. A captain friend of mine said they have a chart, which varies for the destination, the take off weight, and the fuel price which tells them approximately how much to take.
