I've never took pictures of bottles in hotels before ... I've took some very odd, interesting and memorable pictures after drinking the contents of the bottles but not before. I'm inspired to start doing so.

EDIT: Joking aside, this is actually not just an interesting thing to do but potentially very productive. How so? How many times over the last 10+ years have folks asked on FT what wines and champagnes etc are served at hotel 'x'? Must be hundreds of times ..... me included. By building this thread and indeed taking photos of the chilled bowl, this will help to thin those well intended but very frequent repeated questions. So although I joke some, it could be a very sensible and useful outcome from a fun thread.
