I'd hazard a guess that the number of long-haul passengers has gone up since 2000, at least until 2019/20.
And when you've got daddy's cheque book, an unlimited line of credit, and the states concerned have tried to move from petro-chemicals, is it any wonder that the ME3 have changed the market.
No wonder BA haven't been able to chuck out the hard product sooner when they're not a toy of the state.
