Doing some searching it’s the first increase in almost 10 years and a 33% increase over the previous $52.

I’m not saying drivers should have fare increase due to gas and other price inflation but surely annual increases will be more palatable in future,
Maybe Manhattan taxi drivers should start going on strike every other month like transit workers in the UK seem to do, in order to keep things moving up going forward!
