Not stupid at all. I'm not sure if mine is the easiest way. I'm on a Windows pc when I do this. First I open the image of the check and copy/paste it into Paint. Then I crop it and paste it into Word. Change the background to black, resize and open my bank app. Go to deposit a check and take a picture of the screen. I have a paper with my signature and "mobile deposit only" written on it. I use this for the back of the check.
