Park Lane and Le Grand (all day!) do serve champagne.
Now what are we looking at? Champagne in Club Lounge, or with breakfast?
Lounge 336 .... and take care with that. Like a fool I responded to the very polished and polite gentleman during breakfast in IC Lyon who in dulcet tones said to me "would you enjoy champagne with your breakfast sir" .... I responded of course with a childishly enthusiastic 'yes please'.
Thinking to myself he saw the patina of decades experience, world wide travel and elder statesman overwhelming him, I considered that all those years of RA status were really worthwhile after all. WRONG .... at the end I got the bill for 87 euro .... the smile rapidly wiped from 'elder stateman's' face and huge amusement from my wife!
The good folk at front desk in fairness wiped it from the bill without request at checkout but that will teach me a lesson!
On the plus side, a decent sparking wine can be had at IC Warsaw, a less desirable one but plentiful at IC Lisbon, IC Maldives, IC Estoril. Also IC Jakarta was on last visit but was a while back.
IC Park Lane I would note have become rather mean with breakfast champers at breakfast ... it's off menu since covid. You can arm twist it with familiar faces and I have done but a little unfair to be doing so upon reflection.
