CT-UK, and I and many friends fly BA via London when going West in J from Europe because it is far cheaper than any other option! It cuts both ways you know. It is not uncommon for me to "pick up" a colleague on the way to the US, where my J ticket is $2200, and his is $6k. That is unfortunately how this connection carrier business works, just BA is less good at it than other carriers.
What I find incredible is that these 7 carriers that I have cited have in fact added more airlift from LHR and the UK since NCW was announced than BA's ENTIRE FLEET, including Business cabins, but many want to put it all down to "Kismet" than actual erros that BA has made, including not revamping their J offering!
