In December, even with SNAs, I had to get in touch with the hotel (it did not help much), then asked for the help of the Ambassador desk help.
At the end, I got a "Panoramic Ocean Suite, 1 Bedroom Suite, 1 King, Ocean view, High floor, Balcony, Whirlpool". I was offered a Garden view villa for one night, but declined.
My advice is to be proactive and even try to get in touch with the GM of that small (outdated) hotel.
