There have been a few small cuts but nothing to dislodge them from what I feel is world-class airline status. EVA is near and dear to my heart as it's a source of national pride (and amazement that Taiwan can have two very strong airlines, BR and CI). CI has always been regarded as slightly second tier to EVA, as it works to shed its reputation on safety from a generation ago with improvements to its products. EVA's hard product is aging - not sure if the 787 helps much (will cover in a coming chapter) and needs to shed its own reputation as primarily being a connector to SE Asia, even though that business is strong.

I believe they are still doing Hello Kitty themed flights, but only to certain stations:

SFO and SEA are not included in this list (nor is any North American outstation besides ORD).
