I thought it was a joke at first but the receptionist said nothing after and handed us our room keys and let us go.
Before we said the secret password we got recognized as IHG platinum and were given the choice between points and a $10 bar credit, so not sure if we weren't allowed to pick again because of that? But either way that left a bad impression, so not sure if anybody else has had this experience?
