What I don't understand is whether or not you accepted the revised flight time. If you did, then obviously you don't have a case. If you didn't then you'll be entitled to the refund, but that's something you're being offered anyway.

Aside from seemingly trying to be excessively litigious, I'm not sure what you hope to achieve given you pretty much already have the result you want hassle-free. There's a moment when a light bulb should come on and you accept the effort isn't worth it for a few dollars, particularly if your case isn't especially watertight.
I think that I have a case on the seat assignment fee being returned because Singapore cancelled my BKK to Singapore flight and put me on an earlier flight but didn’t give me a seat assignment for the BKK to Singapore flight. I sent severance emails and they finally did, which lasted a week and it disappeared again. I called the Singapore office in Bangkok and was told that they were powerless to fix this. I would have to call the Singapore office, which would cost me more than it would cost just to buy the seat assignment a second time.
I want to make it clear that if I sue, it will be because they refused to change my return ticket after changing the BKK to Singapore segment. I won’t be suing for half the cost of my ticket, but $880, which is what I payed to fly home on Qatar airlines. I did send a form in and payment for my birth certificate. It will take 2-3 weeks to obtain.
