FWIW this might be a rare take but I actually prefer reverse herringbone on 787-9 over apex on any 787 and definitely over apex on a 77W—especially if you can score the bulkhead reverse herringbone seats which IMO balances out the benefits of your feet not being as constrained in the apex seat.

I am also often working in flight and find the additional small side table convenient for being able to have my tablet/laptop out during mealtimes, which is much easier with reverse herringbone compared to the limited width real estate on apex.
