Thanks for the welcome and for catching that mistake

The non-stop is on AS, a morning route that runs daily. If I search one-way from IAD -> NAN it never shows up as an option and tries to route to SEA instead. Although some dates the evening route shows up as a non-stop option, though that requires an overnight stay in SFO since the outbound flight wouldn't leave until the next day. It looks like there is a IAD -> LAX -> NAN leg available that avoids routing through SEA, but finding 2 business seats from LAX -> NAN is pretty hard.

I saw, I may still change the final NZ destination for the arriving flight. AKL has the most availability, but I'll probably be looking to see both the north and south islands in the close to two weeks I'll be there. Planning the itinerary while in NZ and for the way back is still up in the air, but planning seems like half the fun
