Stayed there again 5 nights this "pre-xmas" season since they replied to my (I thought generous 4*) review on the official marriott website that their usual service offering is vastly better than it was in the 21 winter with COVID. I even got a bigger suite (timberline). Again points with cash upgrade. Timberline is vastly larger than junior suite.

Overall though I think this will be my last stay there. They still seemed understaffed for a luxury collection property. All staff I encountered was very friendly, but I don't think I saw any staf that didn't look stressed and overworked bc the staff/guest ratio was clearly not in line. Still had to wait on phone to get through to front desk many times, several days without cleaning service because they only came in the evening when we didn't want to get disturbed anymore, waited quite long for car to get pulled up at valet (even with 30 min prior notifications) and I didn't notice any additional events/services compared to the prior year. In fact last year we got a nice beanie and two free drinks at the bar, which we didn't this year.

Their plat+ and included breakfast was very good though. High qaulity buffet choices with made to order omlet station. They would make a great marriott property, but as it stands they are an only so so luxury collection property in my view.
