Would appreciate any help on this topic. American Airlines changed the equipment on our flight (from a 777 to 787). I have an agent confirming that because of Conditions of Carriage, such a change would trigger a free refund. My issue is that the confirmation email does not state that the flight was originally on a 777 (it doesn't list equipment at all) and American says they have no record of an equipment change. The only documentation I can come up with is from Aeroroutes (which indeed shows that there was an equipment change after ticketing), but I'm not sure that's official enough of documentation to send to AA Customer Service (and then potentially to American Express if AA Customer Service doesn't approve the refund). Does anybody know where I can get documentation of an equipment swap?
