I suppose nothing in 399.85(c) requires a carrier even to have a My Trips screen. But on its purchase completion page and in a post-purchase email confirmation, a carrier must provide the passenger's free baggage allowance, and must "tak[e] into account any factors (e.g., frequent flyer status, early purchase, and so forth) that affect [baggage] charges." UAPremierExec, do you remember what appeared on the purchase completion page? Were those inaccurate too?
I gather you, like me and robsaw, didn't receive eticket confirmation emails with text statements of baggage charges -- so there, the violation by Alaska is in failing to send the baggage charges, rather than stating incorrect charges.
Did Alaska charge you correctly when you actually checked bags?
