Yes, a few months ago it used to be easily done through the website, and not through the app.

But that may have been reversed recently, or may be available via both. I did top-off FNC redemptions in October and December 2022 for stays in October 2022 at LVK (Livermore, CA) and in January 2023 at MNL, respectively.

I have a higher-value 40K FNC, and the Marriott Bonv∘y information technology (IT) system did not try to force me to use that.
