you may want to look up reviews on both hard products before you decide. Not sure how big a person you are. People seem to either love or hate apex. I flew apex on KE once and thought it was just fine.

soft product will basically be the same either way, but the 787 has a lower cabin altitude and higher humidity, so you tend to land more refreshed after a long flight vs the 777.
