I was slightly mortified to discover once, after landing, that my work mobile phone had been on the entire flight, and not in flight mode. It was up in my carry-on in the overhead locker, I'd packed it away in there hours earlier (when going through security) and completely forgotten about it since.

My immediate thought was to irrationally blame myself for the turbulence we encountered during the flight, before realising that was absurd!
