Alaska eticket confirmation emails without baggage prices?
DOT regulation 14 CFR 399.85(c) requires that carriers put the price of a first and second checked bag in the text of an eticket confirmation email (not merely a hyperlink to a web page). This is useful in case of disputes with airline staff, i.e. staff seeking to charge more than a passenger expects -- the correct price is supposed to be right there in the email, precomputed by the airline at the time of booking.
When I recently bought tickets on Alaska, I was surprised to see no such price quotes in my eticket confirmation email. Have others observed this problem? Check your eticket confirmation emails from Alaska -- do you have bag price quotes or, for elite passengers, explicit confirmation of free first and/or second bags?
