OP, you mentioned the Captain making a PA about this but no CC follow through. I appreciate you meant not going through cabin emphasising “everything switched off”. Did you notice what the cabin crew pre landing PA said (at 10-15 on shorthaul or 20 mins on long) as I believe this should have repeated that request.
