To your question absolutely I would do so with some documentation. I had a terrible experience with Air Canada once with an expired card. My card had expired after I bought the ticket and I had a new card. The ticket was paid for and I had all the paperwork from the bank too that I had paid for the ticket but I had to purchase a new ticket and had a bit of a fight trying to get the refund for the purchased ticket so if EVA asks for the card, you would need to show some proof of it.
