But the location is still not good. Nishi-shinjuku is charmless, souless location, as is most of central Shinjuku-ku.
Perhaps some people enjoy the homeless encampments on the walk to Tochomae Station.
Most of Shinjuku-ku? Get out of here. Kabukicho, for one, is a freaking blast. Then there's some of the best department stores in the world, Okubo with all its Korean restaurants, Shinjuku Gyoen, the many Michelin-starred restaurants dotting Arakicho, the charming (and also Michelin-star lined) streets of Kagurazaka, etc. etc. If you think Shinjuku-ku is charmless and soulless, you need to get out of the hotel more.
