Am just boarding flight from T3 to to OTP Bucharest right now. At the rate the GAs are checking in wheely bags, there will be hardly any in the overhead bins. I don't know for sure, but my suspicion is that everyone who isn't in club or without any status is having their bag checked.

I didn't get asked to check mine at all but definitely more than 50% of bags coming to the gate are being checked in.

Interestingly haven't heard any complaints from any passengers but it may well be that they don't understand the rapid instructions being directed their way where English isn't first language.. is "wheely bag" an internationally-accepted description of what's they're bring told to check-in??

Either way, BA is reading this thread avidly and is already acting on it!
