I'm PC and at bigger stations am usually just directed to the PC circle to choose whatever car I want, and usually wrangle an SUV despite a res for a lower class car. Now I'm looking at an upcoming rental at LAS (where I have always done well) and I really want an SUV. I'm wondering, if I reserve that car class, will I also just be directed to the circle, to pick out whatever is there, and assuming there will be an SUV? Or does a station like that tend to pre-assign you to a specific vehicle in a numbered slot?

I'm not trying to scam something for nothing, but if the car selection process will be the same whether I make a more expensive res or not, what's the point? I'd still be at the mercy of whatever was in the lot when I showed up.

Anyone have more experience than I with this situation? Thanks!
