Coming from Kyoto and sitting at KIX now. Paid more to fly home (with layover) out of KIX thinking it was more convenient than getting to NRT (with cheaper non-stop options). ANA swapped our flight around several times stating lack of interest out of this airport. Also, the ANA website only mentions that the domestic lounge is closed due to COVID. I can confirm that the international ANA lounge is ALSO closed "due to COVID". Interestingly enough, several other lounges are happily open. Unfortunately, none are partners with ANA. There is currently one dining option at KIX - a coffee shop with a legit line. There is also a family mart with a line around the store down to the bathroom. Maybe things will get better in 2023, but for us...we should have caught a Shinkansen to Tokyo station and onward to Narita for a direct flight home.
