Clearly, the donor's benefits do not apply. T & C 3.2.c.iv., final sentence. However, there is no absolute entitlement to the recipient's benefits applying, either. The Terms & Conditions for gifts are silent with respect to recipient Elite benefits from their own account, other than non-accrual of points or nights.

iv. With a Gifted Award Redemption Stay neither the Member nor the recipient will earn any Points/Miles, Elite Night Credit, Qualifying Nights, or Qualifying Stays in connection with such Gifted Award Redemption Stay. In addition, the recipient on the Gifted Award Redemption Stay will not receive the transfer of any Elite benefits associated with the Member’s Account.

T & C 3.2.c.iv. I agree that adding her Marriott Bonvy Platinum Elite account number to the gifted reservation enhances the possibility application of her own benefits will happen.

But be forewarned that it is not an absolute entitlement.
