One can transfer 100K points per year to another account. If the booking is then made in your wife's name (obviously not enough for your whole itinerary), that would be a guaranteed way to get her Platinum benefits for two more people.

If the room is not booked from her account, any benefits for your wife would be at the generosity or mercy of the individual hotel.
