Minimum miles will be given only when the total distance x 1,6 is less than 1600 miles. BOG-PTY would be 1600 miles because 469x 1,6 is less than 1600.
To get miles from BOG-PTY you must have it ticketed as separate segment with stopover, not as technical stop of few hours when returning from BOG to IST.
Yes, it does not matter as long as you get 40.000 miles during the last 12 months. I sort of used to do it just before flight, therefore wrote as suggestion.
M&S Terms&Conditions does not say that Welcome miles are status miles, therefore do not hope that. You&friends referral 500 miles are award miles.
For flights all flown miles with booking class percentage are counting as status and award miles, bonus miles if not written otherwise are award miles only.
