If you want the all singing all dancing service with food and drink, would you not book a daytime flight?

For the same reasons C-W-S mentions on eastbound flights - at least in the US, it's not possible (or close to impossible) to book a morning flight with a valid connection from many other US cities that arrives in time to connect to those daytime departures.
