And people were status matching back and forth between the two for years.
When was Hilton giving easy Diamond Status ? I watch for a diamond match often and this is basically the same deal they have had for years on matches, you have to stay 12 nights in 90 days to get Diamond and they won't even let you match if you are already Gold.
What do I have to do to receive a Hilton Honors Status Match?
Submit your program and stay proof of another competitor loyalty program through our dedicated status match page: https://www.hiltonhonors.com/en_US/s...match/landing/. Once approved for Status Match, we will upgrade your status to Gold for 90 days.- Stay a minimum of 7 nights within your 90 day trial period, and we’ll upgrade your status to Gold.
- Even better: if you complete an additional 5 nights (12 nights total) within your 90 day trial period, we’ll upgrade your status to Diamond.
Who is eligible for Status Match?
Members who are currently at Base or Silver tier and have not previously enrolled in Status Match.
Why are Gold and Diamond members restricted from Status Match?
Gold and Diamond Members are already experiencing the benefits that come with elite Hilton Honors status; we will therefore not process these requests.

Reward credits ( Wyndham points transfer to CET Reward Credits) have the same value regardless of your status UNLESS you are in one of the few places that still have Diamond Lounges and let you bring a guest for 1,000 RC..........In Vegas there are no Diamond Lounges so all reward credits ( regardless of status level) are equal.
