So the thing that is confusing me is that if you are on a 001- stock ticket with no international leg involved ( purely domestic ), the AA system would not show your status directly and the agent would ask to see your status ( either on the boarding pass or the card ), the AA boarding pass would never mention GGL but always say oneworld Emerald. I also doubt that FLY, which the BA Agents at the joint lounges use, would let a GGL in directly but would ask for the FFP number to be manually input. This is also the case when entering other BA Lounges in the USA such as BOS, IAD, PHL, SEA, etc..., on a 001- stock ticket, as Sabre couldn't sync the data into FLY.
Apparently either they have done some IT upgrades within the last week, or the agent manually override the pop-up and let you in.
Another thing that confuses me that I have also got conflicting entry reports from other people outside of FlyerTalk and I am trying to figure if this is a YMMV case or is something really fixed.
My BP, printed by AA at JFK, showed Emerald.
The agent then scanned my BP and told me I had access to either of the lounges but I'd likely prefer Chelsea.
