Update: Turns out the complaint in November was not logged. Barclaycard's IT are still saying they don't know when this is going to be resolved. I reminded them that I opened my account in July 2022 and it's been an issue at least since then. As a result, they're now (hopefully) actually logging my complaint since their IT don't want to give a timeframe for a solution that's been ongoing for at least half a year, and to which they admitted affects customers nationally. I explained that I can understand if I was the only one affected by the issue, because then it would not be much of a priority for them, but the fact that they refuse to put an approx timeframe on a national IT issue that's been ongoing for at least 6 months is just not acceptable.

They did say, however, that once Apple Pay is available, customers will receive a notification via the app. But again, no timeframes.
