I do unprotected connections like this quite often. Lots and lots of times needs to be left between flights. My rule 20 is a minimum of four hours and a lot of times. I actually give myself an overnight. For example, I’ve got a unprotected connection in London in March. I will fly to London the day before I fly back to the United States.
