Might be wrong here, but isn’t TTL set at the PNR-level (instead of the segment level)? I didn’t recall my upgrade requests having a TTL (they seem to stick there until after departure if they don’t clear). So my point is the confirmed upgrade have to be manually cancelled by an agent, not via an automatic process?
