Just saying… it’s quite unlikely that 2 long haul CX J awards suddenly become available simultaneously…
And since CX seems to require miles in account for waitlisting, I think the agent called not to inform a seat being available, but to enforce the miles in account for waitlist rule.
The short haul return was never waitlisted because it has always been available; they didn’t confirm the seat because the whole ticket was not ready to be issued (not sure what’s the correct process is)
