You can have more than one CIC and CIU even if you are using SSN for both, but it might be risky. I have done it in the past multiple times by modifying both the business name and the name that will appear on the card (the easiest way, assuming the business is your own name, is to have a different variation of middle name for both cards).
For example: for CIU1, business name is "JOHN SMITH" and name on card is "JOHN SMITH," but for CIU2, business name is "JOHN A SMITH" and name on card is "JOHN A SMITH."
